Loan Assistant

Location: Main Office in Houma; Hours: 40 per week

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Proficient in Word and Basic Understanding of Excel
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • General knowledge of bank products
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks
  • Processing loan applications or similar loan function

Experience Preferred:

  • General knowledge of Laser Pro and BPM
  • Opening new accounts experience
  • General knowledge of Fiserv system

Job Responsibilities:

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides assistance to loan officers including:
  • Typing loan memorandums, verifying insurance, providing attorney instructions, ordering appraisals, typing and verifying disbursements
  • Imputing Loan Applications, making general ledger entries for loans, making entries to complete loan packages
  • Completing loan check list and putting signed documentation in order
  • Typing CD loans
  • Originating and servicing tuition loans
  • Making collection calls as needed
  • Opening new accounts as needed
  • Provides customer assistance as needed to phone and lobby customers
  • Answering phones as necessary and relaying messages in a timely manner
  • Cross-selling bank products and services (sales referrals)
  • Providing assistance to bank personnel as needed

Head Teller

Location: Tunnel Branch; Hours: 40 per week

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Three years previous Head Teller experience or five years Assistant Head Teller
  • Pleasant and professional appearance
  • Effective written & oral communication skills.
  • Good decision making skills and balancing record.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Supervisor experience.
  • Self-motivated leader with ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.
  • Life currency and coin-approximate weight 40-50 pounds.

Experience Preferred:

  • Understanding of all regulatory compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of Fiserv system

Job Responsibilities:

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Routine teller duties – paying and receiving.
  • Vault Custodian – ordering, shipping, receiving and balancing.
  • ATM maintenance – replenishing and balancing.
  • CTR monitoring and reporting – BSA monitoring.
  • Reg. CC hold notices.
  • Monthly cash audits, surprise counts.
  • Monthly inventory audits and verifications.
  • Maintain teller outage report.
  • Weekly schedule for tellers.
  • Perform employee annual evaluations.
  • Check cashing decision making.
  • Perform other supervisory duties.
  • Lead monthly teller meetings.
  • Cross selling bank products and services (Sales Referral)
